ARTIST STATEMENT
My artistic practice is rooted to visual spaces that points to other dimensions.
Is it possible to produce something that is invisible and not immediately physically present?
Is a dream present even if it takes place in one’s subconscious?
I am interested in exploring the connection between mental and physical reality, and use this as an expression in my art.
I am interested in questioning the viewer how he or she connects mind and body and the possibility to open paths to new perceptions.
It makes sense for me to work in different media and materials and integrate the exhibition space
so that the viewer will experience a sensuous, and ground-breaking audio-visual universe.
Through the years it has become clear to me that my art is a snapshot of my own state of mind and my works are in a tactile state where opposites are put into play.
My art works speak their own language, communicate with each other. They are in an “interval” between time and space.
